How to Get to Lake Kawaguchi from Tokyo

By Bus (Cheaper Option)

For budget travelers, taking a bus from Tokyo is the most economical way to reach Lake Kawaguchi. A round trip costs about ¥4,000 and takes around 2-3 hours. By Train (Faster Option)

For a faster option, take the Fuji Excursion Train from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko Station. This special service gets you there in under 2 hours for around ¥4,060. Alternatively, you can use the JR Pass to travel to Otsuki Station, and from there, transfer to the Fujikyu Line (not covered by the JR Pass) to reach Kawaguchiko.
