Located near the tail end of Harajuku’s Takeshita Street, Le Shiner is known for its array of Instagram-ready food. Among these are the rainbow cheese sandwich, rainbow soft-serve, and rainbow corn dogs.

Le Shiner is a small stall that only serves take-out, so most shop-goers eat the food they buy just across from the shop. The shop exterior is also designed with rainbows and unicorns in bright colors, so you can easily take photos and videos of the food you buy. Personally, I preferred eating the food I bought from the shop at Yoyogi Park which is only a 10-15-minute walk from the area.

Taste-wise, the food and drinks are nowhere near revolutionary. The novelty lies in the design, among the most recent of which are drink sold in large-sized baby bottles. Le Shiner thus adds to the Harajuku experience—outlandish, vibrant, instantaneous rather than long-lasting.

Le Shiner is originally from South Korea.
