Cheers to one hell of a 2024!

As we welcome the new year, I’m stepping back to reflect on everything I’ve experienced traveling around Japan in 2024—from the big-name tourist hotspots to the lesser-known communities quietly fighting to preserve their heritage. I wanted to share my thoughts on this disconnect between hyper-romanticized Japan and lesser-known areas struggling to attract visitors. By embracing slow travel, mindful tourism, and intentional connections with locals, I believe we can support struggling areas, honor traditional crafts, and discover a more fulfilling way to explore.

I hope you can join me as I continue this journey into 2025, shaping a travel philosophy that celebrates authentic storytelling, nurtures the people who keep these destinations alive, and reminds us that connection is what truly makes every trip unforgettable.
