If you follow me on any of my socials, you’d know that I frequent Tokyo cafes a lot. I purchase a copy of Tokyo Cafe Guide yearly and I’m always out to find Tokyo’s tastiest and prettiest. But as much as I love having brunch or afternoon tea with one of my gal pals, these days, going out means exposing yourself to increasingly higher health risks, and I’d much rather have my cuppa at home.

Good thing there’s Angelo’s. Angelo’s is a family-owned online shop that specializes in biscotti and baked goods. They are based in Tokyo and deliver nationwide. I got to sample some of their products and I’m excited to tell you how much of a treat they were. If you fancy any of these, don’t forget to scroll down to get your offer code of 15% off on your first purchase.

Soft but Crunchy Biscotti

Where there’s coffee, there has to be biscotti. Angelo’s biscotti are incredibly addictive, and I must say, I found myself munching them during breaks while working from home. Unlike traditional ones, Angelo’s are on the softer side, with just enough crunch to make you want to grab one after the other.

Angelo’s sells biscotti in two styles: rustic style biscotti which are sold in bags of 20 or 25, and gourmet biscotti which comes in a box of 14 or a bag of 20. For gifts to friends and loved ones, I recommend getting the box of 14 as it comes beautifully packed in an elegant black box.

Gourmet Cookies

I’m not exaggerating when I say that their gourmet cookies are divine. You get a nice crunch at the first bite, followed by a burst of flavors and spices as the cookie crumbles and melts in your mouth. Angelo’s has mastered the type of cookie that goes especially well with tea. One that you actually savor as you eat.

At the time of writing, they have Polenta biscuits, Old English cake, Madras biscuits, and Sable de Britagne available on their website, all of which I recommend trying.

Scones

Funny story. The morning I got the e-mail from Angelo’s, I was having crumpets with coffee and thought to myself how much I’d love to have scones for breakfast. Later that day, I got the email about their online shop. Huh, the stomach asketh, the universe giveth, I guess.

As a lover of scones, I can’t recommend Angelo’s enough. They’re crumbly but soft; neither too moist nor too dry. I’d actually ordered scones from a different company prior to getting Angelo’s, and was disappointed that what I got were more like cupcakes. I’m relieved to know now that I can order the kind of scones I like anytime I want.

Angelo’s scones come in plain, fruit, and cheddar chive flavors. They also have vegan ones.

Authentic Baked Goods

Besides the delicious treats I’ve already mentioned, Angelos has also begun selling Yorkshire fruit cakes and Provençal bread. I have yet to try these, but my mouth is already watering looking at the photos.

It looks like they will be regularly adding new products on their site, so there’s always something we can look forward to. Staying home to have treats and tea doesn’t look too bad now, does it?
