Every girl who loves sweets dreams of a sunny cafe with a tall glass of parfait that looks like it came straight out of the pages of a shoujo manga. That’s what you get when you visit Triangle Cafe in Futako Tamagawa.

Passion for Creation & Collaboration

View of Triangle Cafe from the Outside

Situated just a short walk from Futako Tamagawa Station on the terrace of Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. South Building’s 3rd floor, you’ll find Triangle Cafe – a place where culinary artistry thrives. It’s a cozy cafe offering indoor and terrace seating, often bathed in warm sunlight filtering through large windows. Here, the chefs put their hearts and souls into crafting exquisite dishes that promise to tantalize the senses.

For Triangle Cafe, the perfect cafe experience is a harmony of three essential elements: food, drink, and dessert. This is why they collaborate with industry experts to elevate their menu to unparalleled heights. Among these collaborators is Mori Ikuma (森郁磨), a renowned figure credited with igniting the parfait boom in Japan. With over 16 years of experience and more than 250 unique recipes to his name, Mori’s parfaits display avant-garde creativity and artistic elegance. His relentless pursuit of innovation in the world of parfaits has made him a frequent subject of television and magazine features.

A Feast for the Eyes & Tastebuds

Shine Muscat Parfait

While you’ll find plenty of eye-catching desserts at Triangle Cafe, their main draw, without a doubt, is their parfaits. Crafted with both elegance and whim, these desserts are meticulously prepared by skilled patissiers, using carefully selected ingredients. The selection includes seasonal fruits often paired with a macaron on top, an artistic touch that brings a whimsical flair to the plate.

In the two times that I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the cafe, I’ve tasted two different parfait flavors. Both times, I enjoyed the experience immensely. Their parfaits are never too sweet. There are a lot of flavors and textures, but not one overpowers the other; they all complement each other and leave you satisfied when you finish your glass. This delicate balance between aesthetics and flavor is a testimony to the craft and creativity infused into every dessert.

Whether you’re in it for the artistic allure or the delicate dance of flavors, Triangle Cafe’s parfaits will capture your imagination and satisfy your craving for something truly special. They are not just parfaits; they are an experience, a joyous symphony of taste and sight, waiting to be explored and savored.

Other Offerings

Besides sweets, Triangle Cafe also has savory dishes like pasta and sandwiches. I’ve tried their chicken sandwich and while it was satisfying, it didn’t leave as much of an impression as their desserts. The cafe also takes pride in their coffee and tea selection, so you might want to try them on your next visit.
